Testimonials for the Creative Codependence™ Workshop
I absolutely loved the Creative Codependence workshop. The language you used "remove the stigma of co-dependence" and "develop a relationship with my co-dependent parts" was also liberating. It gave me permission to let my "parts" out of the closet without judgment. I'm looking forward to getting to know these parts.

Great Workshop – I learned a lot. I realize that some of my “codependent parts” contain strengths which I can use to become more interdependent.

I feel freed up to be kinder and gentler to myself and allow parts I once rigidly defined as dysfunctional and unacceptable to have a voice. Thank you!C. Reese Seattle, WA
Jo-Ann's Creative Codependence workshop was very enlightening. The exercises helped me to look at the roots of some of my behaviours and patterns, to understand that they arose out of a need to protect myself as a child. I also learned to reframe behaviours I may have deemed negative, my own and those of others, and by seeing them in a new light, find their positive applications when used in a healthy manner. Jo-Ann facilitated all this with great insight, gentleness and a sense of fun. P.S., West Vancouver
I attended a course titled "Creative Codependence - Getting More out of Life" that was facilitated by Jo-Ann Svensson
and was amazed at the results I received from this one day experience.
The course was not well attended with only four (4) registered and ending up with only two (2) of us arriving and as Jo-Ann welcomed both us I knew it was going to be a wonderful course. Codependency is something most of us don't enjoy thinking about let alone talking openly about and the course material was set out in such a way as to walk us through what it is, why and how it happens and the recovery process.
As Jo-Ann had us look at ourselves as parts - and deal with "a part" it became very clear to me that we might be able to function very well and yet have a part or parts of us that needs recovery. That aspect makes the whole job of looking at and understanding codependence so much easier.
I would like to thank Jo-Ann for not cancelling this course as I learned not only much about codependence but also about a part of me that will need work to recover. Jo-ann was a gentle guide to walk us through the tough subject material and look forward to future meetings/courses/classes with her. One very strong line in Jo-Ann's handout said so much to me - "We need a healthy sense of self so we can count on ourselves to take care of ourselves".
